The Ladies XV made the long trip to Cilfynydd near Pontypridd on Sunday afternoon and put up a competitive performance before eventually losing 36-14. The Piod Pinc went into the interval only five points behind after a Darcy Hardy try and Hannah Stephens conversion made the score 12-7 to Cilfynydd. The second half saw Cilfynydd increase the pressure on the Piod Pinc to run out 36-14 winners. Tumble's second half points came from a penalty try following a high tackle on wing Louise Rees-James which again was converted by centre Stephens. This was another gutsy performance from the girls who are now competitive in every game they play, which was especially pleasing as a number of key players were unavailable for this fixture.
Tumble's player of the match was centre Hannah Stephens who yet again put in some great tackles and runs.
Special mention must go to committee member Rhian Goddard who made her debut as touch judge before a tactical substitution saw her lose the flag after 5 minutes; Look out Nigel Owens!!!
