Piod Pinc complete first competitive season

The Piod Pinc bowed out of the Women's National Bowl on Sunday afternoon at the semi-final stage, losing 5-47 to a strong Deri Ladies side at Parc y Mynydd Mawr. Missing a number of regulars the girls gave a good account of themselves against a side who are now favorites to win the competition. The girls never gave up with centre Darcy Hardy scoring a fantastic 50 metre consolation try. The fixture capped off a fine first season in competitive rugby for the Piod Pinc, who came runners-up in Division 3 (pre-Christmas) and Division 2B (post-Christmas) as well as making the semi-final of the Bowl competition.

After losing all 10 of their friendly fixtures last season there has been a fantastic improvement in performance this season under coaches - Dafydd Pritchard, Sioned Harries and newcomer Kevin Jones. The team has really developed as numbers have grown and the commitment from all the players has been first class. Many thanks from the club to all the players, coaches, officials and supporters you've been a credit to Tumble RFC and we're sure that 2018-19 season promises even more - Ymlaen Y Piod Pinc.
