Fixture

The Magpies went down to an easy defeat against a lively Burry Port back division. Aided by some poor defensive tackling and luck lustre attack, they found themselves twelve points down in as many minutes before Leighton Mckenna added a penalty. Burry Port replied with two further tries before Mckenna added his second penalty after thirty six minutes.  

Tumble had their chances and two drives should have brought scores but for the forwards to drop the ball short of the opposition line and secondly, the referee not adjudging Tumble had crossed for a score.                 

With the match in injury time during the first half, Tumble managed to maul the ball over for a try by Dafydd Humphries.     

The second half saw Burry Port increase their lead through a penalty after fifty eight minutes. Tumble pressed for a scoreand, with a succession of penalties found their way into home twenty two. Quick thinking by Hewitt after another penalty, saw him feed wing Berwyn Jones sneek over in the corner. Two further tries secured the result for Burry Port and a consolition try by James Owens provided a crumb of respectability.
